Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons milk

1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Vegetable oil for frying

2 tablespoons chopped parsley optional garnish

1/4 cup ranch dressing or dipping sauce

Instructions

1. Wash and thoroughly dry the green beans, then trim the stem ends.

2. Prepare three shallow bowls for breading. Add flour, salt, and pepper to the first bowl.

3. Whisk the eggs and milk together in the second bowl until smooth.

4. Combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper in the third bowl.

5. Dip each green bean into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat evenly in the breadcrumb mixture.

6. Place the coated green beans onto a tray and let them rest for 5 minutes.

7. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F.

8. Fry the green beans in small batches for 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

9. Remove the fried green beans using a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

10. Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

11. Serve immediately with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-coat the green beans by dipping them into the egg mixture and breadcrumbs twice before frying.

Maintain the oil temperature between 350°F and 375°F to prevent greasy or soggy breading.

Serve immediately after frying for the crispiest texture and best flavor.
