Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
6 cups bread cubes or stuffing mix
1 cup dried cranberries
6 large eggs
2 cups milk or half-and-half
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
1 small onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
2. Toast bread cubes in the oven until lightly golden if not already dried.
3. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then set aside.
4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onion until soft, then add garlic briefly.
5. Combine bread cubes, sausage, cranberries, and sautéed mixture in a bowl.
6. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
7. Pour egg mixture over bread mixture and mix gently.
