Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar packed

1 cup creamy peanut butter

2 large eggs room temperature

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup Christmas M&M candies

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Mix in peanut butter until smooth and creamy.

5. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.

6. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just incorporated.

7. Fold in chocolate chips and M&M candies gently.

8. Chill dough for 30 minutes for best texture.

9. Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet 2–3 inches apart.

10. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft.

11. Cool on baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake; cookies should look slightly soft in the center when removed from the oven.

Chilling the dough enhances flavor and prevents spreading.

Use regular creamy peanut butter for best consistency, not natural varieties.
