Ingredients
4 cups fresh cranberries
2 cups strawberries, hulled
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 package freezer jam pectin
3/4 cup water
Instructions
1. Wash the cranberries thoroughly and remove any damaged berries. Rinse and hull the strawberries.
2. Add the cranberries and strawberries to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped while still slightly textured.
3. Transfer the chopped fruit to a large mixing bowl.
4. Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until evenly combined.
5. Gradually add the sugar while stirring continuously until the sugar begins dissolving.
6. Let the fruit mixture rest for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. In a saucepan, combine the freezer jam pectin with water according to the package directions.
8. Bring the pectin mixture to a boil while stirring constantly until fully dissolved.
9. Carefully pour the hot pectin mixture into the fruit mixture and stir for several minutes until combined.
10. Spoon the jam into clean freezer-safe jars, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
11. Seal the jars tightly and allow them to sit at room temperature for 24 hours so the jam can fully set.
12. Store the jars in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
Notes
Use fresh, firm cranberries for the brightest flavor and best texture.
Allow the jam to fully set at room temperature before refrigerating or freezing.
Leave a little headspace in the jars to prevent overflow while freezing.
