Ingredients

8 oz mascarpone cheese, chilled

6 oz cream cheese, softened

0.5 cup powdered sugar, sifted

0.5 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp instant espresso powder

0.5 cup ladyfinger crumbs

0.25 cup dark chocolate shavings (optional)

unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

(optional) 1 tbsp coffee liqueur

(optional) 0.5 tsp rum extract

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, beat together mascarpone and softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and instant espresso powder. Mix until fully incorporated.

3. Fold in ladyfinger crumbs and optional dark chocolate shavings using a spatula.

4. Cover and chill the mixture for at least 1 hour until firm.

5. Scoop chilled mixture and roll into balls using your hands.

6. Place truffles on a parchment-lined tray and dust with cocoa powder using a fine sieve.

7. Chill for an additional 30 minutes before serving for best texture.

Notes

Use high-quality mascarpone and espresso powder for a more authentic flavor.

Always chill the mixture before shaping to prevent stickiness and mess.

You can dip the truffles in melted dark chocolate instead of cocoa for a richer twist.
