Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 bottle (18 oz) Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce

Optional add-ins:

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Optional garnish:

  • Fresh parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper. Trim off excess fat if needed.
  2. Place the chicken in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce with optional honey, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken, coating each piece well.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  6. When done, shred the chicken with two forks (if desired) and stir it back into the sauce. Let it sit on “Warm” for 15–20 minutes to absorb flavor.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve hot.
