Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries
- 1½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- Optional: 1–2 tsp corn syrup or lemon juice
- Wooden or bamboo skewers
Instructions
- Wash and thoroughly dry strawberries. Insert skewers through the stem end.
- Line a tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium without stirring until mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Quickly dip each strawberry into the syrup, coating evenly. Let excess drip off.
- Place coated strawberries on prepared tray to harden for 5–10 minutes.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
