Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
- 1–2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Pour uncooked rice into an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the broth and stir lightly to distribute.
- Slice the butter into pats and lay them evenly over the surface.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, until the top is golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
