Perfect for pairing with any protein or vegetable, this rice is flavorful and slightly crispy on top with a tender interior.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth (or chicken broth)
  • 12 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pour uncooked rice into an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour in the broth and stir lightly to distribute.
  5. Slice the butter into pats and lay them evenly over the surface.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with foil.
  7. Bake covered for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, until the top is golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
