Ingredients
- 4 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Slice apples into 1/4-inch wedges. Toss with lemon juice and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in brown sugar and let it melt into the butter, forming a caramel-like sauce.
- Add apple slices and cinnamon to the skillet. Stir gently to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender.
- Uncover and simmer for a few more minutes if you want a thicker glaze.
- Turn off heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
