These Slow Cooker Lipton Onion Potatoes are a foolproof side dish made with just a few simple ingredients. Baby potatoes are tossed with Lipton onion soup mix and butter, then slow-cooked until tender and packed with rich, savory flavor. Perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or as a reliable comfort food classic.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds baby red or gold potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 1 packet (about 1 oz) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Optional: Fresh parsley or chives, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the baby potatoes. Cut into halves or quarters for even cooking.
  2. In a large bowl, toss potatoes with the Lipton onion soup mix, melted butter, and optional olive oil and garlic.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a 4–6 quart slow cooker. Spread into an even layer.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2.5–3 hours, stirring once or twice.
  5. Optional: For crispier potatoes, transfer to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving, if desired.
