- 8 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji), peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ cup apple juice (or water)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
