A luxurious baked pasta dish filled with a creamy blend of shrimp, crab, and scallops nestled inside jumbo shells, topped with a white sauce, mozzarella, and a golden breadcrumb crust. Perfect for special dinners or elegant comfort food nights.

Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup bay scallops, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk or half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook jumbo pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to make a roux. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, shrimp, crab, scallops, half of the mozzarella and Parmesan, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff each shell with the seafood filling.
  6. Spread a layer of white sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells in a single layer over the sauce.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce over the shells. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness if desired.
