Whether you’re looking for dinner ideas, snack inspiration, or an easy recipe with a magical twist, this dish delivers both flavor and charm in every bite.

Ingredients

2 sheets puff pastry

1 cup pumpkin puree

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1 egg

2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then sauté the onion until soft and translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

2. Stir in the cooked chicken and pumpkin puree, then season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix well and let the filling cook for a few minutes before removing from heat and cooling completely.

3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into equal squares or circles.

4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each piece, fold over, and seal the edges using a fork.

5. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pastries for a golden finish.

6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place pastries on a lined baking sheet, and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.

7. Let cool slightly before serving and enjoy warm.

Notes

Keep the puff pastry cold at all times to ensure a flaky texture after baking.

Always let the filling cool completely before assembling to avoid soggy pastry.

Do not overfill the pastries, as this can cause them to burst during baking.
