Ingredients
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, divided
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 sheet parchment paper
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
2. Combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk, butter, salt, and vanilla extract in a microwave-safe bowl.
3. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.
4. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
5. In a second microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips with the remaining sweetened condensed milk.
6. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well each time, until smooth, then stir in the peppermint extract.
7. Drop spoonfuls of the white chocolate mixture over the chocolate layer.
8. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the two mixtures together to create a marbled effect.
9. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies evenly over the top while the fudge is still warm.
10. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until fully set.
11. Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper, then slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Use parchment paper with enough overhang so the fudge lifts out easily for clean slicing.
Let the fudge sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting to help prevent cracking.
Use high-quality chocolate for the smoothest texture and richest flavor.
