Description

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups pecans

1 pinch salt


Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then sprinkle yeast and let foam

2. Add egg, butter, salt and gradually mix in flour

3. Knead dough until smooth and elastic

4. Let dough rise until doubled in size

5. Prepare caramel with butter, sugar, cream, vanilla and salt

6. Pour caramel into pan and add pecans

7. Roll dough into rectangle

8. Spread butter and cinnamon sugar mixture

9. Roll into log and slice into 12 pieces

10. Arrange rolls in pan and let rise again

11. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes

12. Cool slightly and invert before serving


Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for best dough texture

Toast pecans to enhance flavor

Avoid overbaking to keep rolls soft and gooey
