Ingredients
4 oz white chocolate (high-quality, chopped)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp orange zest
1 tbsp fresh orange juice
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
6 oz white chocolate (for coating)
1 tsp coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
few drops orange gel food coloring (optional)
1 tbsp orange sanding sugar (for garnish)
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
2. Add orange zest, juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully blended.
3. Melt 4 oz of white chocolate and let it cool slightly before stirring into the cream cheese mixture.
4. Chill the mixture for 1 hour or until firm enough to scoop.
5. Scoop small portions and roll into balls; place on a parchment-lined tray.
6. Freeze truffles for 30 minutes until solid.
7. Melt remaining 6 oz of white chocolate with optional coconut oil. Stir until smooth.
8. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, tapping off excess, and place back on parchment paper.
9. Drizzle with orange-tinted chocolate and sprinkle with sanding sugar.
10. Let truffles set at room temperature or refrigerate briefly until the coating hardens.
Notes
Make sure to use high-quality white chocolate for the best flavor and meltability.
Chill thoroughly before rolling to keep the truffle centers firm and workable.
Add orange extract for a stronger citrus punch if desired.
