Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken breast, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add more olive oil if needed, then add minced garlic. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Add honey or maple syrup, smoked paprika, and soy sauce to the skillet. Stir well and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Cook the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
  5. Combine Everything: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, add drained pasta, and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to adjust the sauce consistency.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
