Looking for a bold and creamy one-skillet dinner that delivers restaurant-level flavor in under 30 minutes? This One-Pan Creamy Sweet and Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta combines juicy seared chicken, rich parmesan cream sauce, a hint of sweetness, and a Cajun kick—all simmered together with pasta in one pan. It’s the ultimate comfort food that’s also easy to make and clean up. Whether you’re after a quick dinner, easy recipe for guests, or weeknight pasta idea, this dish hits every mark. Great for busy nights or when you want something indulgent without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 cup water or chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and let rest.

3. Lower heat to medium and add butter to the same pan. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in parmesan, honey (or brown sugar), and red pepper flakes if using.

5. Add uncooked fettuccine and 1 cup water or broth. Stir frequently to cook the pasta evenly and prevent sticking. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until pasta is al dente and sauce thickens.

6. Slice the rested chicken and return it to the skillet. Toss gently to coat with the sauce.

7. Adjust seasoning with extra salt, pepper, or Cajun spice to taste.

8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother, silkier sauce.

Add spinach or cherry tomatoes to sneak in more veggies without changing the flavor profile.

If your sauce thickens too much while the pasta cooks, just add a splash of broth or cream to loosen it up.
