1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

1 cup sour cream

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup unsalted butter

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup whole milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two cake pans.

2. Mix dry ingredients together.

3. Combine wet ingredients and mix into dry.

4. Add boiling water and sour cream.

5. Divide batter and bake 30–35 minutes.

6. Cool completely.

7. Prepare coconut filling.
