Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti, cooked al dente
- 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with melted butter.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Add onions and garlic to the beef and cook until softened. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, Parmesan, and egg until smooth.
- Layer half of the spaghetti in the baking dish. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over it.
- Add the remaining spaghetti and top with the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
