Ingredients
Cheesecake Filling:
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth. Scoop teaspoon-sized portions onto a tray and freeze for 30 minutes.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips and chunks.
- Scoop out a tablespoon of dough, flatten it, place a frozen cream cheese ball in the center, and seal the dough around it.
- Chill the filled dough balls for 20–30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 11–13 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
