Ingredients
2 shots espresso
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/2 cup milk or milk alternative
3 ice cubes
Instructions
1. Brew two shots of espresso using your preferred method like an espresso machine, Moka pot, or Aeropress.
2. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and a splash of hot water in a shaker to make syrup. Stir until sugar dissolves, then add vanilla extract if using.
3. Add espresso and a few ice cubes to the shaker with the syrup. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds to chill and froth.
4. Meanwhile, heat your milk until warm but not boiling. Froth if desired for extra creaminess.
5. Strain the shaken espresso into a mug, then pour in the warm milk. Spoon froth on top.
6. Dust with a pinch of cinnamon and serve immediately.
Notes
Use barista-style oat milk for the creamiest texture and best froth.
You can make extra brown sugar syrup in advance and store it refrigerated for up to a week.
Always shake the espresso while it’s hot to fully blend the flavors and create a velvety finish.
