Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough
3 tbsp butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese (optional)
1 tsp olive oil (optional, for brushing if not using butter)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
2. Let the dough rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes to soften.
3. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each into a 6-inch rope.
4. Tie each rope into a knot, tucking the ends underneath.
5. Place knots on the baking sheet, spaced evenly.
6. Cover with a towel and let rise for 20–30 minutes.
7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
8. While baking, melt butter and cook minced garlic over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Stir in parsley.
9. Remove knots from oven and brush with garlic butter immediately.
10. Sprinkle with parmesan and salt while still warm, and serve.
Notes
Don’t skip resting the dough—it makes shaping much easier.
Always brush garlic butter while the knots are hot to infuse flavor.
For a cheesy twist, stuff with mozzarella before tying.
