Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional: sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cut steak into even 1-inch cubes and pat dry. Season lightly with black pepper.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a hot skillet or cast iron pan over high heat until shimmering.
- Add steak cubes in a single layer, sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned.
- Lower heat slightly and pour sauce over steak. Toss to coat.
- Add remaining tablespoon of butter and stir until melted and steak is glazed.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if using.
