Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank)

2 cups cooked rice

2 medium zucchini, sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp butter

¾ cup heavy cream

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives

¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions

1. Pat the steak dry and season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Let it sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.

2. Slice zucchini and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side until charred and tender. Set aside.

3. Heat a skillet or grill over high heat. Sear steak for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium rare). Let it rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice against the grain.

4. In a small saucepan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and herbs. Simmer until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Assemble bowls: add rice, grilled zucchini, and sliced steak. Drizzle with creamy sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Let the steak rest before slicing to lock in moisture and tenderness.

Warm your rice before assembling the bowl for best texture and temperature contrast.

Be careful not to burn the garlic when making the sauce—low heat is key.
