Ingredients
- 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 12 oz smoked sausage (sliced)
- 1 small head green cabbage (thinly sliced)
- 1 medium yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 2–3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (optional garnish)
- Lemon wedge (optional for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients: slice cabbage, onion, sausage, and mince garlic. Pat shrimp dry.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet. Brown sausage slices for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sear shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until just opaque. Set aside with sausage.
- Add remaining oil. Sauté onions for 2–3 minutes, then add cabbage and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add garlic during the last 2 minutes of cabbage cooking.
- Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Add paprika, pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning. Mix and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon, if using. Serve hot.
