  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional)

  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the uncooked rice evenly.
  4. Add the browned beef on top of the rice in an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the French onion soup mix evenly over the beef and rice.
  6. Pour beef broth over the entire dish. Do not stir.
