Description

These Flaky Cheesy Roll-Ups are buttery, crisp bites filled with gooey melted cheese and topped with golden Parmesan. Quick to assemble and dangerously addictive, they’re perfect for appetizers, brunch spreads, or snack attacks. Customizable with herbs, meats, or dips—they’re guaranteed to disappear before they even cool.


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg, beaten

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.

3. Cut into squares or rectangles, depending on your preferred roll-up size.

4. Sprinkle the center of each piece with mozzarella and a pinch of Parmesan.

5. Roll up each square tightly, pinching the seam to seal, and place seam-side down on the tray.

6. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.

7. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and puffed.

8. Let cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley if using, and serve immediately.


Notes

Keep puff pastry cold for maximum flakiness.

Don’t overfill with cheese to prevent leaking.

For extra flavor, add herbs or a pinch of garlic powder to the cheese filling.
