Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti noodles
1 tablespoon salt
1 pound ground beef
0.5 pound Italian sausage
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
24 oz marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
15 oz Alfredo sauce
0.5 cup sour cream
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 to 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
3. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
5. In a bowl, mix Alfredo sauce, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. Stir in cooked spaghetti. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
7. Spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom of the dish. Layer the Alfredo spaghetti mixture on top.
8. Add remaining meat sauce over the pasta. Top with shredded mozzarella.
9. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Cook pasta just to al dente to prevent it from becoming mushy while baking.
Reserve a splash of pasta water to loosen up the Alfredo sauce if needed.
Let the dish rest after baking—it helps the layers set and intensifies flavor.
