Ingredients

4 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter

1 tablespoon molasses

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 teaspoons Sriracha

1 clove garlic, finely minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder

2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional)

1/4 cup water

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, peanut butter, molasses, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and Sriracha until smooth.

2. Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, and Chinese five spice powder.

3. Pour mixture into a small saucepan over low-medium heat and whisk continuously.

4. If using cornstarch, mix it with water to form a slurry and slowly add to the saucepan while stirring.

5. Continue cooking and whisking until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

6. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

7. Transfer the cooled sauce to a clean glass jar or airtight container.

8. Store in the refrigerator for up to 10 days; stir before each use.

Notes

Let the sauce cool completely before storing to avoid moisture buildup.

Adjust sweetness or spiciness based on your taste preference.

For a smoother sauce, blend it with an immersion blender after cooking.
