Ingredients

1 loaf Cuban bread

4 tbsp unsalted butter

8 slices Swiss cheese

1/2 lb deli ham

1/2 lb roasted pork

1/3 cup dill pickles

3 tbsp yellow mustard

Optional 6 slices salami


Instructions

1. Slice the Cuban bread horizontally and lightly butter the outer sides.

2. Spread mustard evenly on the inside of both halves.

3. Layer Swiss cheese on both sides of the bread.

4. Add ham evenly across one side.

5. Layer the roasted pork on top of the ham.

6. Add pickles evenly across the pork.

7. Add salami if making a Tampa-style version.

8. Close the sandwich and gently press it together.

9. Heat a sandwich press or skillet over medium heat.

10. Grill and press the sandwich for 4–6 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

11. Flip if using a skillet to ensure even cooking.

12. Rest for 1–2 minutes, slice diagonally, and serve warm.
