Ingredients
2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
16 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups whole milk
4 tbsp butter, sliced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil the macaroni for 5-6 minutes until just al dente.
2. Drain and rinse the pasta to stop the cooking process.
3. Add pasta, Velveeta cubes, shredded cheddar, evaporated milk, whole milk, butter, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the crockpot.
4. Stir everything together until evenly combined.
5. Cook on LOW for 2 to 2.5 hours, stirring once or twice during cooking.
6. Once the cheese is fully melted and pasta is tender, stir well and serve.
Notes
Do not fully cook the pasta before adding it to the crockpot—it should be slightly undercooked.
Use freshly shredded cheddar for the best melting and texture.
Avoid using the HIGH setting to prevent curdling of the cheese sauce.
