Ingredients
3 lbs chuck roast
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
12 Hawaiian slider buns
6 slices provolone cheese
1/2 cup pickled jalapeños or banana peppers
2 tablespoons butter (optional, for toasting buns)
Instructions
1. Pat the chuck roast dry with paper towels. Season all sides with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
2. Place the roast in the crockpot. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce without rinsing off the seasonings.
3. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until fork tender.
4. Remove the roast and shred it with two forks. Discard excess fat.
5. Optionally return shredded beef to the juices in the crockpot for 15–30 minutes to soak.
6. Slice slider buns in half and place the bottoms on a baking tray.
7. Add shredded beef, a half slice of provolone per slider, and pickled jalapeños or banana peppers.
8. Top with the bun lids. Brush with butter if desired.
9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are lightly toasted.
10. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Let the beef rest in its juices after shredding for deeper flavor.
To avoid soggy buns, toast them before adding the filling.
Use a serrated knife to cut the assembled sliders easily and cleanly.
