Ingredients
2 lbs frozen fully-cooked meatballs
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes if using.
2. Add the frozen meatballs into the Crockpot.
3. Pour the prepared sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat them evenly.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours until meatballs are heated through.
5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch and water, then stir it in during the last 30 minutes with the lid off.
6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
7. Serve hot as appetizers or over rice or noodles for a full meal.
Notes
You can use homemade or plant-based meatballs as a substitute.
For extra flavor depth, refrigerate sauce a day in advance and use chilled.
To avoid salty results, opt for low-sodium soy sauce and taste before adding more.
