Description
Creamy Mushroom Ravioli combines tender ravioli with a rich, savory mushroom and garlic cream sauce. It’s an elegant, comforting dish perfect for both casual weeknights and special dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh or frozen cheese or mushroom ravioli
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (cremini or baby bella recommended)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook ravioli according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain ravioli.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 6–8 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to low and pour in heavy cream. Stir to combine with mushrooms and simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently fold in the cooked ravioli, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
