2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

8 ounces rotini pasta

½ cup reserved pasta water


Instructions

1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Italian seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Set aside to rest.

3. Boil the rotini pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

6. Add Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix to coat in the sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen if needed.
