Description

This Creamy Garlic Butter Beef Bowtie Pasta with Italian Sausage & Spinach is the ultimate comfort food — packed with savory sausage, rich ground beef, fresh spinach, and a velvety garlic butter cream sauce. It’s an easy dinner idea that’s perfect for busy weeknights but elegant enough for guests. The bowtie pasta captures every drop of the luscious sauce, while grated Parmesan and a pinch of red pepper flakes take it to another level. If you’re looking for quick dinner ideas, easy pasta recipes, or hearty food ideas with an Italian twist, this one’s for you.

Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

8 oz Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)

½ lb ground beef

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 cup heavy cream

3 cups fresh spinach

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt (or to taste)

¼ tsp black pepper

⅛ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Brown Italian sausage and ground beef until fully cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Add fresh spinach to the sauce and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.

6. Return the sausage and beef to the skillet, then stir in the cooked pasta. Mix well to coat everything in the creamy sauce.

7. Sprinkle in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss again.

8. Serve immediately, garnished with more Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest, best-melting finish.

Always reserve some pasta water — it’s great for adjusting sauce consistency.

Don’t overcook the garlic; it becomes bitter quickly and can overpower the sauce.
