Description

A comforting one-pan dinner made with smoky chicken sausage, creamy orzo, spinach, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a quick, hearty, and flavorful weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the orzo and toast for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  7. Add spinach and cooked sausage back to the skillet. Stir until spinach wilts.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
