Ingredients
1 lb sirloin steak or ribeye, sliced into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
12 oz spaghetti
3 tbsp unsalted butter
5 cloves garlic, minced
1.5 cups heavy cream
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
0.25 cup reserved pasta water (optional)
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
1 tbsp lemon juice
0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
0.25 cup sun-dried tomatoes or sautéed bell peppers
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Pat beef strips dry and season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. In a hot skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear the beef for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and let rest.
4. Lower heat to medium. In the same pan, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add cooked spaghetti into the sauce and toss to coat. Loosen the sauce with pasta water if needed.
7. Slice rested beef and place on top of the pasta. Spoon over any pan juices.
8. Garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Always rest your beef for 5 minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.
Adjust Cajun seasoning based on your spice tolerance — some blends are saltier than others.
Add pasta water gradually to thin out the sauce without diluting flavor.
