Ingredients

450g spaghetti

500g ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 cup heavy cream

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

½ cup reserved pasta water (optional, for thinning the sauce)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Break it up as it cooks, then drain excess fat if needed.

3. Add diced onion to the pan and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.

4. Sprinkle in Cajun seasoning and stir to coat the beef and vegetables evenly.

5. Add tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes to develop flavor.

6. Pour in heavy cream and reduce heat to medium-low. Stir and let simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.

7. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat in the sauce. Use a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.

8. Sprinkle in shredded mozzarella and stir until fully melted and creamy.

9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

This recipe works beautifully with ground turkey or chicken if you want a leaner option.

Always taste your Cajun seasoning beforehand — some blends are saltier than others.

Use freshly grated cheese for a smoother, creamier melt.
