Ingredients

12 Hawaiian rolls

6 oz sliced turkey breast

6 oz sliced ham

6 oz cooked bacon, chopped

6 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

2 cups shredded lettuce

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp garlic powder or minced garlic (optional)

Instructions

1. Cook bacon until crisp, let cool, and chop into pieces.

2. Mix mayonnaise with Dijon and honey (if using), and season with salt and pepper.

3. Shred the lettuce and mix with the sauce for better distribution.

4. Slice the rolls horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms together.

5. Place the bottom layer of rolls into a baking dish.

6. Layer cheddar cheese slices first to shield buns from moisture.

7. Add turkey, then ham, then chopped bacon.

8. Spread or layer the dressed lettuce mixture on top.

9. Cap with the top layer of rolls and press down slightly.

10. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic if desired.

11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes, until tops are golden and cheese is melted.

12. Let cool slightly, cut along roll seams, and serve warm or chilled.

Notes

Always layer cheese first to keep buns from getting soggy.

Mixing the sauce with lettuce spreads flavor evenly and keeps things tidy.

For crisp tops without burning, cover loosely with foil mid-bake if needed.
