Ingredients

3/4 cup unsalted butter softened

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 to 4 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pinch salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan

2. Whisk together dry ingredients

3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy

4. Add eggs and vanilla extract

5. Mix in dry ingredients alternating with milk

6. Spread batter evenly in pan

7. Bake for 18–22 minutes

8. Cool completely before frosting

9. Prepare frosting until smooth

10. Spread frosting evenly over bars

11. Slice and serve
