Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
- 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen, blanched if fresh)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for cooking chicken)
- 1/2 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using fresh broccoli, blanch in boiling water for 2–3 minutes and drain.
- Season diced chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook in a skillet with olive oil until no longer pink.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, and half the cheese.
- In a greased baking dish, layer chicken and broccoli. Pour sauce mixture on top and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese and optional breadcrumbs/crackers on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
