Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
  4. Stir in soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in cooked rice and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5–10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
