Description
A creamy, cheesy, and savory one-skillet meal featuring tender beef, bowtie pasta, garlic, and a rich Parmesan and mozzarella sauce. Quick, comforting, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 lb beef strips or steak bites
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually add Parmesan, stirring until melted.
- Add mozzarella and continue stirring until fully melted and sauce is smooth. Use pasta water to thin sauce if needed.
- Return beef to skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
- Simmer for 1-2 more minutes, then turn off heat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
