Description

A creamy, cheesy, and savory one-skillet meal featuring tender beef, bowtie pasta, garlic, and a rich Parmesan and mozzarella sauce. Quick, comforting, and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 lb beef strips or steak bites
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add beef, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Gradually add Parmesan, stirring until melted.
  5. Add mozzarella and continue stirring until fully melted and sauce is smooth. Use pasta water to thin sauce if needed.
  6. Return beef to skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss everything together to coat evenly.
  7. Simmer for 1-2 more minutes, then turn off heat.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.
