- 1 lb cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook tortellini for 1-2 minutes less than package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.

- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large bowl or directly in the baking dish, combine tortellini and meat sauce.
- Transfer mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top evenly with mozzarella and parmesan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden top, if desired.
