Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg until a thick dough forms.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the crust and spread it gently.
  5. Sprinkle toffee bits evenly over the top.
  6. Add chopped nuts and gently press them into the surface.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
