Whether you’re looking for a quick dinner, a cozy meal, or unique food ideas, this is one recipe that checks all the boxes.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1.5 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika

0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

8 oz spaghetti

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1.5 cups heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

0.25 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

salt and pepper to taste

fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Pat chicken dry and season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let rest for 15–20 minutes.

2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Set aside and slice.

3. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.

4. In the same skillet, add butter and olive oil. Sauté garlic on medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.

5. Pour in cream and broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for 4–5 minutes.

6. Lower heat and slowly stir in mozzarella. Add red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.

7. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce. Add pasta water as needed to adjust consistency.

8. Plate the pasta, top with sliced chicken, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly shredded mozzarella for a smoother, creamier sauce—pre-shredded cheese tends to clump.

Let the chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy and flavorful.

If the sauce is too thick, pasta water is your secret weapon for loosening it without losing flavor.
