Description

Baked Shrimp is a fast, flavorful, and foolproof dish that features juicy shrimp roasted with garlic, paprika, and a splash of lemon. It’s simple enough for a weeknight dinner and elegant enough for entertaining.

Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

0.5 teaspoon onion powder

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

0.5 lemon, juiced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Place shrimp in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat.

3. Arrange shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet.

4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until shrimp are pink, opaque, and slightly golden on the edges.

5. Remove from oven, squeeze lemon juice over shrimp, and garnish with chopped parsley.

6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use large or jumbo shrimp to avoid overcooking.

Thaw frozen shrimp completely and pat dry before using.

Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure even roasting.

Do not overbake—shrimp cook fast and become rubbery if overdone.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
